I was born in Stockholm, Sweden. Since toddlerhood my greatest passion has been reading books. Another passion is music; I saw my first opera at the age of four, and at forty became secretary of The Friends of The Stockholm Folk Opera for some years.
At sixteen I got a New Zealand pen-friend. I married young, had two children, divorced, went to NZ for the fourth time and met my Kiwi husband, Allan. We decided to live in sunny Nelson. I got a diploma in Comprehensive Writing in 2003, and since then I’ve had around twenty short stories published in the Swedish magazine Allers.
I write poetry, short stories and novellas; my genres are sweet romance and suspense. I’m also working on a fictionalised autobiography. I’ve had poems and a short story published in local anthologies Sleepy Hollow Stirs and Journeys, and a short story in Rough Justice, published by Adult Learning Support. My short story The Phone Call was Highly Commended in the 2008 Page & Blackmore National Short Story Competition. Another story, Black Friday, came equal fourth place in the 2015 short story competition sponsored by Chapter Book & Tea Shop, Auckland, and was published in RWNZ's Liaisons anthology. I have several pieces of work in Ripples: an anthology by Nelson Romance Writers, published in 2016.
I’ve been on the NZSA Top of the South Branch Committee and was convenor of the Nelson Chapter of Romance Writers of New Zealand for several years.
