Deborah is passionate about encouraging children to read. An avid reader from childhood herself, she always loved poetry and singing. Her youngest son has Aspergers so she is familiar with the problems that children face when reading. Her light bulb moment to write a book came at 30,000ft while flying over the Pacific to New Zealand. Now she has the writing bug, four more books are currently under construction. She likes to write fun stories that children and parents can read and enjoy together. Deborah lives in Nelson.
Her first book Angus McPaw’s Monstrous Adventure, illustrated by Polly Rabbits (for ages 3-8), was published in November 2017. Their second collaboration, Euphemia, a fairy's tale was published in Septmber 2018. Both books are on sale at various shops in Nelson, Mapua and Blenheim. They are available direct from the publishers, Krazy Kat Publications, from Copy Press and from Amazon.
