I teach, farm and write in one of the most beautiful places on earth. My partner’s a fisheries officer and is at sea around half the year conserving the ocean’s fish stocks. We have three children, four dogs and fifty feral sheep.
I’ve had short stories published and been shortlisted twice for the Royal Society of NZ/Manhire Fiction Prize. In 2015 I received a mentorship award from the NZSA, and in 2016 I was fiction editor of the NMIT literary magazine kiss me hardy.
Aims for 2017: write, believe, don’t take no for an answer.
