JIM KENNARD / SPANISH TO ENGLISH
I was born in Argentina and spent most of my school life going through the Argentine school system, before moving to England as a teenager. Thus I learnt all the normal subjects in Spanish from Spanish teachers, and spoke and read Spanish almost as easily as I did English.
To speed up work, I normally use an online translation service such as that embedded in MS Word to do an initial translation. I then compare the Spanish and English to make sure of an accurate translation and that no words have been ‘misunderstood’. Once I am satisfied, I then edit the text for consistency, clarity, correctness, grammar and readability, so that it no longer has any appearance of being a translated document.
I also offer proofreading and editing services, as well as assistance with family and historical research.

SANDRINE SAVARIT / TRANSLATIONS 4 MIGRANTS
I have more than 15 years experience running my own translation business. During my career I have translated numerous documents amounting to millions of words for companies spanning many industries. A full member of the NZ Society of Translators and Interpreters, I have provided translation services for major law firms, leading brands, pharmaceutical companies and governments. After gaining a postgraduate qualification in Legal Translation, I started my own translation business. I now focus mostly on work in legal areas and for international organisations and cooperation fields. I have a strong background in human rights and personal liberties, and work for funds dedicated to the fight against violent extremism and terrorism.
When I receive a translation project, whether it is a book, a thesis, an article or a poem, my job is to make sure that I find the right person with the right skills for the assignment. I have established an amazing network of highly qualified translators and writing professionals in many languages and areas of specialisation.
