Annabel Schuler

Born in Malawi, Africa, Annabel has been a journalist and writer for many years and now lives in Nelson.
She has also worked in several academic roles including leading Rotorua’s Waiariki Journalism Programme; and facilitating online learning for undergraduate students of communication at the Southern Institute of Technology.
Her list of publications covers academic papers, conference presentations and a master’s thesis on the late Michael King’s writing and how this was influenced by his journalism career.
In later years Annabel has freelanced for magazines and honed her research skills.
She is now concentrating on a historical biography which should be completed in mid-2022. Frustrations with conventional publishing have led her to investigate self-publishing and all that involves.
