SELF-PUBLISHING AND PRINTING

Picture
TURNING YOUR PASSION INTO PRINT
Whatever the genre - family history, memoir, fiction, poetry, cookbook, children's picture book - we help writers throughout New Zealand become self-published authors.
We guide you through all the processes involved in producing a well-designed, well-bound book at a cost-effective price. You can print as many books as you need, whenever you need them.
  • Preparation of your manuscript (including editing and proofreading*)
  • Preparation of photographs or other illustrations
  • Book layout
  • Book cover design
If your book is intended for commercial distribution and sale we can also:
  • Supply ISBN / bar-code.
  • Register your book with Nielsen.
  • Place your book with on-line retailers e.g. Amazon, Fishpond, The Nile and Mighty Ape.
  • Place your book on our own on-line bookshop www.realnzbooks.co.nz
  • Provide an excerpt of your book as a biblet**
  • Convert your book to eBook format.
  • Support your marketing and distribution efforts.
* We strongly recommend that you have your manuscript edited and proofread before we begin work on it.
It should also be proofread after the design work is complete and before printing. We can suggest local freelance editors and proof-readers who can assist you with this.
**A biblet is a nifty piece of technology (a.k.a. a "widget" which transforms a selected portion of your book into a file which can be sent by email or placed on a website, blog or Facebook page. The recipient clicks on the file, and is able to read your book excerpt on-screen - just as if they are flipping through an actual book.

More and more writers are taking the self-publishing route – often with great success.  Although there is great uncertainty in the world of traditional publishing, independent publishing is thriving. Writers are no longer reliant on traditional methods to publish, distribute and sell their work.
